Position Summary
This position serves as the Research Project Manager for a statewide evaluation with the Georgia Department of Community Supervision ( DCS) focused on the Person-Centered Supervision ( PCS) model. This role supports the development, pilot testing, and validation of a PCS assessment instrument to measure program quality and fidelity statewide. This individual supports analyses linking PCS quality to circuit-level justice outcomes and public safety indicators using DCS administrative data and publicly available datasets. Responsibilities include protocol and measure development, IRB and regulatory tracking, data management, data analysis, preparation of reports and manuscripts, and presentation of findings to agency partners and other Stakeholders. This position will also assist with proposal development for other related evaluation and research initiatives and may supervise graduate students and student workers as assigned.
Knowledge, Skills, Abilities and/or Competencies

  • Background training in qualitative and quantitative research, including conducting literature reviews, developing data collection measures, sample recruitment, data collection, data analysis, preparing reports and manuscripts, and communicating findings to key stakeholders.
  • Experience in conducting program evaluation or applied research, including qualitative and quantitative data analysis.
  • Experience using programs such as Qualtrics, SPSS, Nvivo, or similar applications.

Project Implementation:

  • Work closely with team members to develop and implement both quantitative and qualitative research and evaluation.
  • Conduct literature reviews and information synthesis on various topics of focus.
  • Assist in developing qualitative or quantitative data collection measures, including surveys and participant interviews.
  • Assist with sample recruitment.
  • Collect primary data through online or paper surveys or interviews.
  • Analyze data using qualitative or quantitative research analysis methods.
  • Prepare research or evaluation reports, scientific articles to share findings.
  • Data visualizations, such as infographics, graphs, and charts to communicate evaluation findings in visually appealing reports.
  • Present research findings at partner meetings and at local, state, and national meetings and conferences to technical and nontechnical audiences as needed.
  • Assist the PI in finding grant and foundation opportunities and preparing research grant proposals.

Project Management and Oversight:

  • In conjunction with the PI, execute project activities to ensure successful completion.
  • Review timelines and scheduled project activities.
  • Monitor project progress to ensure activities are on track and progressing.
  • Create and present progress reports for funding agencies.
  • Present to organizations on various project topics as needed
  • Represent the PI and the project at meetings as needed around the state.
