This is a fixed term part-time position. The salary amount listed is based on the annual rate at full-time employment.

Purpose

This is an entry-level and research support position for the Cognition, Health, & Aging Research Team (CHART Lab) led by Dr. Elizabeth Munoz at in the Department of Human Development and Family Sciences. The CHART Lab conducts research on how everyday stress exposures and contextual environments shape cognitive functioning and health across midlife and aging, with a focus on community-engaged research. We collect data in participants' daily lives using smartphone-based ecological momentary assessments (EMA) and brief cognitive tasks, and we integrate these measures with survey, neighborhood/contextual, and biological data. We are looking for someone to help support day-to-day research operations related to maintaining and organizing study records, preparing materials for community-engagement, and preparing manuscripts for publication.

Responsibilities
  • Maintain accurate, organized study records (e.g., participant tracking, scheduling logs, file organization), support routine data quality checks, and ensure documentation is up to date.
  • Prepare and manage materials for community outreach and engagement (e.g., flyers, presentation handouts, event packets), and assist with coordinating communication and logistics with community partners as needed.
  • Assist with manuscript preparation tasks (e.g., formatting references, organizing tables/figures, tracking edits and versions) and support basic literature organization for ongoing publications.
  • Other related functions as assigned
Required Qualifications
  • Bachelor of Science/Arts degree in a related field.
  • Must effectively work in groups and independently.
  • Ability to manage complex datasets and disseminate results of research projects to professional peers.

Relevant education and experience may be substituted as appropriate.

Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience with scientific research.
  • Experience with R, Qualtrics, Excel, or equivalent data management tools.
  • Very strong attention to detail
  • Demonstrated punctuality, good attendance record, careful follow through.
Salary Range

$41,600 (prorated to $20,800 based on 20 hours per week)

Work Shift

Part-time, 20 hours per week. The specific work schedule will be set by the supervisor.
