Position Title: Custodian Relief and ProjectCompensation: $18.14 - $18.74Department: Assoc VP Facilities Planning & Mgt_SStart Date: 04/05/2026About this opportunity: Ball State University Facilities Planning and Management has an opportunity to work on the beautiful campus. This is a full-time, on campus opportunity. Position is Sunday-Thursday 10:30 pm-7 am. Candidates for searches must have current authorization to be employed in the U.S. without employer sponsorship. What you'll do and what you'll bring: Position Function: Under supervision, perform custodial work required for the routine cleaning and maintenance of facilities following proper procedures and techniques for equipment and cleaning products.Minimum Experience: 1.If required by assignment, must possess and maintain a valid Drivers License and be insurable under the university's auto fleet policy. 2.Must be able to climb ladders and/or scaffolding of various heights to perform duties. 3.Must be able to read and comprehend all specified policies and procedures for safety, hazardous materials information, and University policies and procedures, communications, and perform basic mathematical calculations. 4.No allergies to soaps, cleaning agents, or other materials or environmental factors in custodial service. 5.Must be able to perform all mental and physical requirements as outlined in each job duty. 6.Must successfully pass manlift certification, if position requires it, within a reasonable period of time after hire 7.Must have at least one year work experience (full time or part time) 8.You must be 18 years or older. Preferred Experience: 1.Experience in custodial service. Minimum Experience: 1.High School diploma or equivalent (GED).
