As a Welder, you'll work with metal fabrication equipment such as Gas Tungsten Arc (GTAW) and resistance welding to repair a variety of parts. What you'll do: Produce a variety of parts from shop drawings to conform to specifications Read and interpret blueprints or welding process specifications Operate metal shaping machines such as brakes, shears, and other metal straightening and bending machines Participate in continuous improvement of processes Cross train in other complementary skills to support production requirements Observe all applicable safety requirements Basic Qualifications: 2 + years TIG welding experience 2+ years experience reading and interpreting blueprints and welding process specifications Ability to lift up to 50 pounds (unassisted) for approximately 25% of the average work day Desired Skills: Previous welding experience in aerospace or aviation environment Experience with welding thin gauge material and exotic metals (Inconel and Hastelloy) Thorough understanding of tool design and fabrication methods and processes Trade certification preferred Benefits that make life better: Comprehensive Healthcare 401(k) with 100% company match; up to 5% vested Paid Time Off starting on day one Bonus opportunities Health- & Dependent Care Flexible Spending Accounts Short- & Long-Term Disability Life & AD&D Insurance Learning & Training opportunities
