Position Title: Production Manager

Wage: Based on Experience

We are seeking an experienced Production Manager to lead all daily manufacturing operations within our molded pulp production facility in Milwaukee, WI. This role is ideal for a hands-on, structured leader who excels in driving process discipline, safety, and team accountability.

The Production Manager ensures that production runs reliably, efficiently, and in alignment with safety, environmental, and quality standards. This leader will set clear expectations, enforce standards, analyze operational data, and make decisions that support both daily production needs and long-term business objectives.

Production Manager Responsibilities:

- Oversee full production operations, ensuring consistent output, quality and on-time delivery

- Establish, document and enforce standardized operating procedures

- Lead and develop production staff, setting performance expectations and holding the team accountable

- Monitor equipment performance and partner with maintenance to minimize downtime

- Ensure compliance with OSHA, environmental and internal safety standards

- Analyze operational data to identify trends and drive continuous improvement

- Manage production budgets, inventory levels and operational costs

- Align daily operations with long-term organizational goals

- Collaborate cross-functionally with sales, maintenance, quality, shipping, and leadership

- Manage raw material and finished goods inventory; oversee production scheduling

Qualifications for Production Manager:

- Bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering, operations management, or related field (or equivalent experience)

- 5+ years of manufacturing operations experience (molded pulp or similar environment preferred)

- Experience managing supervisors in a production setting

- Strong understanding of production systems, quality control and lean principles

- Proven ability to analyze data, identify root causes and implement sustainable solutions

- Financial competency in budgeting, cost control and operational reporting

- Working knowledge of OSHA and environmental regulations

- Proficiency with ERPs, Microsoft Office and manufacturing software

- High attention to detail with a commitment to accuracy and consistency

- Hands-on leadership style and strong work ethic
