Job Description

Sealed Air is hiring an Account Manager for our AutoBag division to grow and protect business across the Cleveland to Columbus corridor, with most activity centered in Cleveland. This is a field driven role focused on both new business development and account management. You will partner closely with distributors and internal teams while using consultative selling, ROI analysis, and technical knowledge to position AutoBag equipment and materials solutions. The ideal candidate is a self-starter who stays organized, adapts well to change, and leads strong customer conversations by asking thoughtful questions.



Responsibilities:



  • Develop and implement territory-level strategies and tactics to obtain new business and regain lost business to maximize product sales and market share. Achieve sales plans and new account goals for all assigned product lines, including AutoBag Equipment and Materials.
  • Work closely with the Regional Sales Director (RSD), Cushioning Account Managers and Inside Sales to carry out corporate strategies and programs. Assist Channel partners in developing product sales knowledge and system selling that will enable them to target/promote our products in their markets effectively. Provide product, sales, and applications training to Channel sales reps.
  • Use CRM for timely and accurate updates on the lead status and sales pipeline. Review sales pipeline with RSD at least twice per month, focusing on accurately projecting close dates. Provide quarterly business summary reports for critical accounts, Channel partners, and competitive market activity.
  • Work effectively as a team with internal Sealed Air personnel in customer service, quality assurance, field service, applications, marketing, pricing, and other operations as required.
  • Control T & E costs and manage all field sales demo machinery.
  • Accountable for the efficient use of own time and assigned materials, equipment, and vehicles. Responsible for own selling effort and the positive outcome of appointed distributors. Responsible for maintaining and growing an assigned territory and block of business. General review of work by others.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Marketing or Sales preferred.
  • 2-3 years of inside sales experience, or equivalent sales training preferred.
  • 1-3 years of field sales experience required.
  • Knowledge of the flexible packaging market is a plus.
  • Introductory level ability to use Microsoft Office tools (Word, Excel, and PowerPoint).
  • Ability to closely examine and interpret customer needs as well as formulate and recommend solutions in a consultative manner.
  • Reliable interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills required
