  • WHO WE ARE LOOKING FOR

    We are seeking a Senior Director, Product Management to lead our AI / Agentic Buyer Products-one of the most strategicallyimportant areasof our platform.

    AI is reshaping our world acrossevery industry, including advertising. Increasingly, buyers on The Trade Desk are not just human traders interacting with our userinterfaces -they are AI-powered agents orchestrated by human strategists. This role defines how those agents integrate with,operateon, and create value within our platform.

    This leader will deeply understand the buyer constituents building advertising agents,agencies, brands, retail media networks, and technology partners and define the strategy, roadmap, and operating model for working with them.

    The ideal candidate combines deep advertising technologyexpertisewith fluency in AI/agentic systems. You have a clear and defensible point of view on the future of AI in advertising, grounded in data and real-world execution. Youoperatewith urgency, thrive in ambiguity, and have a strong bias toward shipping and iteration.

    WHAT YOU WILL BE DOING



    • Own the product strategy for AI-powered and agentic buyer products across The Trade Desk platform.


    • Define how trader-orchestrated agents interact with our APIs, optimization systems, data assets, bidding infrastructure, and governance frameworks.


    • Develop a multi-year roadmap that enables external parties to build, deploy, and scale advertising agents on our platform.


    • Build deep relationships with key agencies, brands, retail media networks, and technology partners developing advertising agents.


    • Establish integration standards, guardrails, permissions models, transparency frameworks, and performance measurement systems for agent-based buying.


    • Partner closely with Engineering, Data Science, UX, and Commercial teams to deliver scalable, secure, and differentiated agentic capabilities.


    • Drive iterative releases with measurable adoption and performance impact.


    • Represent the company externally as a thought leader in AI-enabled advertising.


    • Ensure agent autonomy is balanced with governance, safety, transparency, and platform integrity.


    WHAT YOU BRING TO THE TABLE



    • 12+ years of product leadership experience, ideally in advertising technology, programmatic platforms, or marketplace systems.


    • Deep understanding of DSP architecture, bidder systems, data integrations, optimization workflows, APIs, and large-scale distributed systems.


    • Strong working knowledge of AI/ML systems, agent architectures,MCPimplementations,LLM-enabled workflows,anddecision automation systems.


    • A clear, defensible vision for how AI will transform advertising workflows grounded in data and industry realities.


    • Proventrack recordof owning and delivering complex, multi-year product strategies in rapidly evolving environments.


    • Experience working directly with large agencies, brands, or technology partners.


    • Executive presence and ability to influence senior internal and external stakeholders.


    • Strong bias toward action, experimentation, and iteration.


    • Comfortoperatingin ambiguity while creating clarity for teams.


    • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills.

CO, CA, IL, NY, WA, and Washington DC residents only: In accordance with CO, CA, IL, NY, WA, and Washington DC law, the range provided is The Trade Desk's reasonable estimate of the base compensation for this role. The actual amount may differ based on non-discriminatory factors such as experience, knowledge, skills, abilities, and location. All employees may be eligible to become The Trade Desk shareholders through eligibility for stock-based compensation grants, which are awarded to employees based on company and individual performance. The Trade Desk also offers other compensation depending on the role such as variable compensation-based incentives and commissions. Plus, expected benefits for this role include comprehensive healthcare (medical, dental, and vision) with premiums paid in full for employees and dependents, retirement benefits such as a 401k plan and company match, short and long-term disability coverage, basic life insurance, well-being benefits, reimbursement for certain tuition expenses, parental leave, sick time of 1 hour per 30 hours worked, vacation time for full-time employees up to 120 hours thru the first year and 160 hours thereafter, and around 13 paid holidays per year. At the Trade Desk, Base Salary is one part of our competitive total compensation and benefits package and is determined using a salary range. The base salary range for this role is
$243,400 $304,000 USD
