What we do:

The Senior Manager, Business Intelligence is a key contributor and subject matter expert on the Business Intelligence team enabling our Product and Engineering Teams to make data-driven decisions. This role will lead a team of Business Intelligence Analysts who will work cross-functionally to understand evolving business needs and requirements. Will be responsible for designing and developing analytics models, reports and presentations to guide the strategic decision-making of internal stakeholders. You will also use advanced and predictive analytics techniques to guide business decisions and proactively identify opportunities and threats.

What you'll do:



  • Lead the design and execution of advanced analytics initiatives, mining and synthesizing data from multiple complex sources to support strategic decisionmaking across Product and Engineering.
  • Oversee insights, delivering clear, datadriven analysis on key metrics across product and engineering. Build strong partnerships with crossregional stakeholders to translate trends into actionable guidance for senior leadership.
  • Proactively identify growth opportunities, operational risks, and emerging product trends, framing analytical findings in a way that influences roadmaps and strategic priorities.
  • Develop and implement business intelligence solutions and insights that enhance operational efficiency, streamline workflows, and improve visibility for Product and Engineering stakeholders.
  • Experience with data architecture and modeling, guiding teams in building scalable, wellstructured data assets that support experimentation, product development, and engineering needs.
  • Partner closely with Product and Engineering leaders to gather inputs for initiatives, communicate risks and assumptions, and ensure analytical rigor and precision in all data deliverables.
  • Lead and mentor crossfunctional teams, collaborating with internal stakeholders to drive alignment on key metrics, support integrated planning, and guide the organization toward datadriven decision making.

Who you are:



  • Bachelor's degree in a quantitative field (Economics, Finance, Statistics, Mathematics, Computer Science, etc.) or equivalent experience. Masters degree preferred.
  • 15+ years of analytics experience in Product, Engineering or Business Analytics
  • Must have experience with Microsoft Excel (expert level) and ability to create compelling PPT presentations
  • 8-10 years leading and managing BI teams.
  • 8+ years' experience in one or more programming languages, such as SAS/SQL/R/Python
  • Excellent critical thinking skills and proven track record with presenting quantitative information to stakeholders at all levels of an organization
  • Experience with business intelligence (BI) tools (Tableau, Power BI, Qlik, Looker, etc.)
  • Experience integrating data across disparate sources and platforms


  • Demonstrated expertise in predictive and advanced analytics, including handson experience developing statistical models and applying data science techniques to derive actionable insights that support datadriven decisionmaking.


  • Experience with Analytics engineering tools like dbt preferred.
  • Experience with Data Warehouse and ETL frameworks (Snowflake, Boomi, SSIS, Informatica, etc.) a plus
  • Able to successfully handle multiple competing priorities. Innovative, and outcomes obsessed
  • Ability to present clearly and concisely to a diverse group of business and clinical stakeholders
  • Ability to work in rapidly growing environment, with excellent attention to detail, multitasking and organizational skills
  • Ability to build consensus across cross-functional and across geographic teams
  • Must possess a 'can-do' attitude with the ability to work well with all levels of internal management and staff
  • Ability to convey technical topics to non-technical audiences
  • Excellent analytical and critical thinking skills
  • Ability to handle high levels of pressure and apply critical decision making with constantly shifting priorities
  • Ability to work independently and with a team on simultaneous tasks in a fast-paced environment with emphasis on accuracy and timeliness

The actual amount may differ based on non-discriminatory factors such as experience, knowledge, skills, abilities, and location. All employees may be eligible to become The Trade Desk shareholders through eligibility for stock-based compensation grants, which are awarded to employees based on company and individual performance. The Trade Desk also offers other compensation depending on the role such as variable compensation-based incentives and commissions. Plus, expected benefits for this role include comprehensive healthcare (medical, dental, and vision) with premiums paid in full for employees and dependents, retirement benefits such as a 401k plan and company match, short and long-term disability coverage, basic life insurance, well-being benefits, reimbursement for certain tuition expenses, parental leave, sick time of 1 hour per 30 hours worked, vacation time for full-time employees up to 120 hours thru the first year and 160 hours thereafter, and around 13 paid holidays per year. At the Trade Desk, Base Salary is one part of our competitive total compensation and benefits package and is determined using a salary range. The base salary range for this role is
$137,300 $251,800 USD
