The impact you'll make

Lam Research is looking for a Security Engineer to join our growing team. The Senior Cybersecurity Engineer will support DLP and CASB, focusing on Netskope. The Cyber Security Engineer will also support the Information Security team in conducting security reviews and providing approvals for new architectures and applications.

What you'll do
  • Co-own the Netskope platform, including architecture, roadmap, design, implementation, and optimization.
  • Analyze Lam Research business objectives and security strategy, and develop supporting DLP rules.
  • Enforce data loss prevention policies across the company using technical preventative controls.
  • Define, develop, and execute processes to update keywords in partnership with the Legal team.
  • Identify gaps in controls, processes, and systems, and recommend solutions.
  • Partner with GIS and the Incident Response team to tune content detection rules and improve accuracy.
  • Work closely with SOC teams to improve alert fidelity and implement engineering fixes to reduce recurring issues.
  • Support security investigations across various systems, either directly or through service providers, while maintaining confidentiality.
  • Own the operationalization of tasks and provide guidance to the Operations team.
Who we're looking for
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Cybersecurity, or a related discipline, with a minimum of 15 years of related experience, 12 years of related experience with a Master's degree, 8 years of related experience with a PhD, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • 5+ years of experience in an Information Security role.
  • 2+ years of experience developing, reviewing, and responding to DLP alerts.
  • At least one of the following professional certifications is required: Security+, CISSP, CISA, CISM, CEH, OSCP, or GMON.
  • 5+ years of experience in a security engineering role with a focus on Data Loss Prevention (DLP).
  • Hands-on experience with Netskope DLP, including managing policies and alerts.
  • Maintain comprehensive documentation for DLP programs and governance processes.
  • Experience reviewing and responding to DLP alerts.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Strong sense of ownership and accountability.
Preferred qualifications
  • Experience within a global semiconductor company or equivalent industry experience is preferred.
  • Ability to break down and understand complex problems and develop plans and innovative solutions to address them.
  • Strong interpersonal, team-building, and relationship-management skills, with the ability to work effectively across cross-functional global teams.
  • Familiarity with Zero Trust architecture principles and security models.
  • Ability to communicate effectively, both verbally and in writing, with a variety of audiences, including immediate team members, management, and other business units.

Our hybrid roles combine the benefits of on-site collaboration with colleagues and the flexibility to work remotely and fall into two categories - On-site Flex and Virtual Flex. 'On-site Flex' you'll work 3+ days per week on-site at a Lam or customer/supplier location, with the opportunity to work remotely for the balance of the week. 'Virtual Flex' you'll work 1-2 days per week on-site at a Lam or customer/supplier location, and remotely the rest of the time.

Salary

CA San Francisco Bay Area Salary Range for this position: $137,000.00 -$287,000.00.

The above salary range for this position is relevant to applicants that reside or work onsite in the California, San Francisco Bay Area only. Salary offers will depend on factors that include the location you work from, your level, education, training, specific skills, years of experience and comparison to other employees already in this role. Actual salary may vary from salary offered due to numerous factors including but not limited to unpaid time off, unpaid leave, company mandated shutdown, and other relevant factors.
