The Inventory Coordinator oversees packaging inventory movement from plant and outside warehouses to support production schedules.

This position will require the employee to work overtime as needed. Overtime is scheduled based upon individual job responsibilities and the needs of the department.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.



  • Manage flow of materials between warehouse and plant to ensure materials are available for production and communicate any changes accordingly.
  • Ensure inventory meets the demands and expedite/de-expedite materials to prevent shortages/overages.
  • Maintain inventory database for plant and outside locations in QAD.
  • Oversee cycle count adjustments and returns of materials from production.
  • Support co-packing operations by ensuring materials are available based on production needs.
  • Work with MRP Analysts on movement of inventory as well as adjustments.
  • Participate in annual fiscal inventory.
  • Special projects and other assignments as required.



QUALIFICATIONS

To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required.

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE



  • 2+ years inventory experience within a manufacturing environment required.
  • Food & Beverage or Pharmaceuticals industry experience a plus.
  • Experience with MRP systems required; QAD and WISE preferred.
  • College degree preferred but not required.



KNOWLEDGE/SKILLS/ABILITIES



  • High attention to detail and accuracy while managing multiple tasks and projects with specific deadlines.
  • Solid time management skills with strong organizational skills.
  • Self-Starter with the ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to work independently within a team environment required.
  • Strong working knowledge and proficiency with Excel and Microsoft Office.



BENEFITS & SALARY

Jel Sert Company is committed to pay transparency and will provide further compensation information during the interview process. The minimum compensation for the Inventory Coordinator is $21.25 per hour. Actual compensation will be determined upon an offer. Compensation is determined by a candidate's experience, education, skills, training, and internal equity within our organization.
