The Airports, Borders, and Security Business Area of Leidos is seeking a Cloud Solution Architect to help our customer manage the Operations and Sustainment (O&S) of their current persons of interest systems while developing the next generation of cloud-based systems for operation on the customer's high-side networks. This exciting role combines the ability to lead Agile SCRUM development teams as well as applying your extensive technical knowledge to solve real-world problems for our Law Enforcement and Intelligence Community customers. If you are interested in serving in a key personnel role supporting national security while applying your management and technical skills to lead a large, diverse team of developers, then this is the role for you.

Primary Responsibilities

  • Develops strategies for cloud-based platforms.

  • Translates business needs into long-term architecture solutions.

  • Develops and designs solutions as needed, evaluating multiple software platforms, and integrating systems.

  • Able to design automation for cloud resources using DevOps best practices.

  • Acts as highest-level technical expert, addressing problems of systems integration, compatibility, and multiple platforms.

  • Responsible for project completion. Performs feasibility analysis on potential future projects to management.

  • Leads a large development team in the design of highly complex software systems.

Basic Qualifications

  • Minimum experience of three years working with government Amazon Web Services (AWS) SC2S and C2S enclaves

  • Demonstrated experience with the following:

    • Extensive experience providing leadership expertise for large scale teams spanning multiple environments (cloud, on-prem, and COTS) and security enclaves

    • Designing and implementing scalable microservices

    • Leading development teams

    • Ensuring security measures are in place within the microservices' design

    • Conduct meetings and presentations with Government stakeholders and leadership

    • Experience with programming (C#, Java, and Python)

    • Containerization for managing the deployment of microservices (Kubernetes and Docker)

    • Cloud development (AWS)

    • Robust understanding of microservices development and best practices.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Current SAFe for Architects (ARCH) certification.
