TITLE: Operations Manager
POSITION OBJECTIVE: Results-driven Operations Manager with extensive experience leading high-speed, wide-web film production environments. Responsible for overseeing plant operations to ensure safe, compliant, and efficient manufacturing of BOPP film while delivering superior product quality and customer satisfaction. Drives continuous improvement through data analysis, process optimization, and cost control initiatives that enhance productivity and profitability. Leads hiring, training, and performance development of operations teams, fostering accountability, collaboration, and strong cross-functional communication. Implements robust quality and regulatory systems (ISO 9001/14001), manages CAPA and customer technical support, and partners with vendors and suppliers to support operational excellence. Skilled in identifying bottlenecks, executing new product development initiatives, and aligning plant performance with strategic growth objectives and market expansion plans.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Operations Management, or related field (or equivalent experience).
- Minimum 7 years of manufacturing leadership experience in high-speed, wide-web film production, preferably BOPP or flexible packaging.
- Demonstrated experience with ISO 9001 and ISO 14001 quality and environmental management systems.
- Strong knowledge of extrusion, orientation, slitting, and converting processes.
- Proven ability to analyze production data, control costs, and lead continuous improvement initiatives.
- Ensure consistent, dependable attendance and demonstrate a willingness to accommodate non-standard work hours as necessary.
- Capable of effectively managing job-related stress and fostering productive workplace interactions.
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:
- This position will follow all guidelines and make informed, independent decisions related to payroll processing while utilizing problem solving skills.
- Oversee all plant production operations to ensure safety, quality, compliance, and efficiency targets are achieved.
- Lead, hire, train, and develop supervisors and operations staff; conduct performance evaluations and promote accountability.
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives using data analysis to improve yield, reduce waste, minimize downtime, and increase throughput.
- Identify production bottlenecks and implement corrective actions to optimize performance.
- Manage implementation and maintenance of ISO 9001/14001 systems and oversee CAPA processes.
- Provide technical support to customers and collaborate with quality and sales teams to ensure product performance and satisfaction.
- Support new product development and commercialization efforts.
- Develop and manage operational budgets, cost control programs, and capital improvement initiatives.
- Partner with maintenance, engineering, supply chain, and external vendors to ensure operational reliability and excellence.
- Ensure compliance with all company policies, safety standards, and environmental regulations.
WORK ENVIRONMENT CONDITIONS SUBJECTED TO IN THIS POSITION:
- Exposure to manufacturing plant environment including heat, noise, moving mechanical parts and forklift traffic.
- Required use of personal protective equipment (PPE).
- Combination of office setting and production floor presence.
