About the Role
We are looking for a Gore Medical SAP Data Solutions Architect to join our SAP Data Team. The SAP Data Solutions Architect is responsible for providing functional expertise to data associates (leaders and individual contributors) to achieve successful material, supplier, and customer data management implementation, along with data support for Value Streams and their respective integrations. This position will be located at our facility in Elkton, Maryland or Phoenix, Arizona, with the possibility of a hybrid work arrangement. Pay and Benefits:

Responsibilities
- Provide functional and situational leadership to SAP data associates in the execution of all data deliverables required to meet transformation journey timelines, including data designs to support downstream business processes and analytics requirements, SAP Master Data Governance (MDG) processes for material, supplier, customer, and relevant finance objects; manage the storage of data artifacts, and partner with change management to ensure stakeholders have support through change impacts
- Provide the SAP data product vision and product features to the SAP data team; collaborate with Support VSL to define the product roadmap; break down the project into themes, epics, etc.; provide feedback and validation to the Support VSL and data team during the development proces; define the Minimal Viable Product (MVP) and when the project can be released, and identify data dependencies within all releases to help build the Integrated Project Plan
- Act as SAP Data Architect subject matter expert to advise business stakeholders, Value Stream leads, and SAP data team associates on possible data-related solutions considering cross-program interdependencies
- Oversee all active GM releases, RME, and maintenance escalations to provide consistent design recommendations that do not conflict across releases or Operating Companies
- Identify and oversee data-cleansing efforts for the purpose of preventing the migration of corrupt, inaccurate, outdated, or redundant information from legacy systems and support in defining data rationalization, remediation, enrichment, and preparation activities for the program through coordination with business stakeholders, Operating Company Data Leaders, Enterprise Data Leaders, and Data & Analytics leaders
- Drive complex data architecture decisions that have multi-release impacts; represent GM data as part of the GM Design Council and advise all cross-Operating Company and cross-Value Stream data implications, either relating to MDG, S/4, or other integrated systems
- Partner with the Enterprise Data Architects, cross-Operating Company Data Leadership, GM SAP Leadership, GM SAP Implementation Champions, GM SAP Solution Architects, and GM business and functional leaders to implement industry best practice data disciplines as part of the digital core initiatives (SAP) including use of policies and standards, data architecture documentation, data quality, data management processes, data translation, and divisional data governance
Required Qualifications
- Minimum 10 years of experience in implementation and/or upgrades of SAP
- Minimum of 4 global SAP end-to-end implementation experiences covering all phases of deployment from explore to hypercare
- Recent experience leading SAP data deployment strategy and execution including both data migration and MDG process design, testing, and implementation (customer, material, supplier, finance)
- Demonstrated experience working across multiple data domains, value streams, and multiple projects and programs, to identify and resolve conflicts relating to data; understanding the broad impact of data related decisions
- Demonstrated experience in creating and maintaining an inclusive work environment with clear understanding of equitable practices.
- Demonstrated experience in functionally leading, influencing, navigating ambiguity, conflict management, and communication skills in a complex project space with a diverse group of associates in multiple locations.
- Deep understanding of SAP data structures and architecture, as well as the technical and integration architecture intersections of SAP with other platforms (e.g., SAP MDG, Ariba, SAP IBP, Salesforce, Teamcenter, etc.)
- Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively with both technical (IT/developers) and non-technical audiences; including the ability to convey complex concepts in a simple manner to gain commitment, remove roadblocks, identify/resolve data-related conflicts, and relate business impact and value for leadership
- Ability to be flexible and effective in a fast paced and changing environment while maintaining strategic focus and operational plan alignment
- Ability to travel up to 30%
Desired Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Management Information Systems, or related disciplines
- Data and Process Governance experience, working across multiple process areas and domains of data
- Experience championing efforts to create new capabilities; ability to envision a future and influence others to commit to that view or approach
