Youth Apprentice - Technician

Are you a high school student who enjoys working with your hands, solving problems, and learning how technology works in the real world?

As a Youth Apprentice Field Technician at BAYCOM, you'll gain hands-on experience helping install and maintain radio communication systems, video surveillance equipment, and door access control systems. You'll work alongside experienced technicians who will train and mentor you every step of the way.

This is a paid, part-time apprenticeship designed to help you explore a career in technology, electronics, or telecommunications while you're still in high school.

On-the-job training is provided - no prior experience required.

* How to install and test communication and security equipment
* How to run cable and use hand and power tools safely
* Basic troubleshooting techniques for electronic systems
* Professional communication skills when working with customers
* How to work as part of a technical team

* Building things and figuring out how they work?
* Working with tools and being active instead of sitting at a desk all day?
* Learning new technology and solving real-world problems?
* Seeing the results of your work at the end of the day?

* Are currently enrolled in high school (junior or senior year preferred)
* Have an interest in technology, electronics, IT, or skilled trades
* Like hands-on work and mechanical tasks
* Are dependable, motivated, and eager to learn
* Want to explore a future career path before graduating
