Description
Responsibilities Responsible for the accounting operations of the company, including the production of periodic financial reports, maintenance of an adequate system of accounting records, development of comprehensive controls and budgets, and enhancements of the accuracy of the company's reported financial results. Maintain a documented system of accounting policies and procedures. Administers the 401(k) plan. Oversees the HR departments and supports and promotes the Presidents / General Managers' organizational plan Qualifications The ideal candidate will possess: - Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration or a related field, required - CPA or CMA (active license), preferred - A minimum of 5 years of experience directing an accounting department, preferably in a manufacturing environment - Cost accounting experience including development of overhead & labor rates along with variance analysis - Demonstrated ability to communicate well with customers and supplier counterparts as well as plant team members on all levels, on a daily basis - Demonstrated proficiency with accounting/ management software systems - Demonstrated knowledge of tax codes and regulatory requirements - Knowledge of quality standards such as BRC - Ability to read, analyze, and interpret financial statements as well as effectively write reports and present financial information - Ability to calculate financial figures such as discounts, interest, commissions, proportions, percentages, area, volume, and net present value - Ability to evaluate financial alternatives and recognize financial trends and performance - Ability to lead and manage a team Compensation & Benefits In addition to a competitive wage, the selected candidate will enjoy a comprehensive benefit package including medical, dental, vision, prescription drug, wellness programs, STD, LTD, life insurance, company matching 401(k) and pension.
