Salary Exempt (United States of America) The Purchasing & Inventory Control Manager is responsible for overseeing warehousing, shipping, receiving, inventory control and handling of all materials. In addition, this position will direct the purchasing and distribution of MRO, service, repair, factory expenses, office supplies property and facilities purchases and services for our company's Good Manufacturing Practices.
    • Supervises and coordinates activities of workers engaged in verifying and keeping records on incoming and outgoing shipments, and preparing items for shipment.
    • Manages shipping notices, bills of lading, invoices, orders, and other records to determine shipping priorities, work assignments, and shipping methods required to meet shipping and receiving schedules, utilizing knowledge of shipping procedures, routes and rates
    • Oversees incoming and outgoing shipping activities to ensure accuracy, completeness, and condition of shipments.
    • Supervises yard and warehouses to optimize transport of materials to and from departments and ensures material needs are met throughout the organization.
    • Determines space requirements and position of shipment in trucks and lays out position of shipments
    • Inspects loading operations to ensure compliance with shipping specifications, and seals loaded trucks and bulk load shipments.
    • Directs movement of shipments from shipping and receiving platform to storage and work areas.
    • Compiles records of unfilled orders, Post weight and shipping charges. Prepares bills of lading
    • Purchase of (MRO) maintenance materials, equipment, machinery, operating supplies, and Services. Source through the company and/or other vendors.
    • Follow up with suppliers on expected delivery dates and service visits to the plant
    • Work with departments to ensure parts are delivered
    • Work with departments to ensure all services are complete
    • Receive and keep files for all materials and services when received and completed
    • Locate vendors of maintenance materials, equipment, supplies and services, and interview/negotiate to determine availability and terms of sales.
    • Expedite delivery of materials and services as required
    • Receive orders and grant approval for the purchase of goods or services.
    • Prepare and process requisitions and purchase orders for supplies and equipment.
    • Analyze changes or new issues in materials and supplies to find ways to reduce costs and improve quality.
    • Manage transportation of maintenance materials, equipment, machinery, and operating supplies.
    • Manage the distribution of supplies, as needed.
    • Prepare and manage inventory levels, come up with new maximum and minimum inventory limits and dispose of inventories of obsolete or slow-moving materials and products.
    • Keep a record of the physical inventories of raw materials, goods in process, finished goods, and supplies and recommend corrective action in cases of physical inventory variances.
    • Schedule, manage and lead inventory counts for plant, small and large warehouse and off-site locations
    • Input all inventory counts into JDE
    • Work with the accounting department of all inventory related items
  • Reasonable mandatory overtime may be required due to business needs.

Targeted Pay Range:

$67,700.00 - $83,300.00
