We're seeking anElectrical Engineerwith strong expertise inprecision analog and power electronicsto join our Devices group and help design nextgeneration electricity metering products. This role focuses on highaccuracy measurement, robust hardware design, and close collaboration across engineering disciplines to deliver safe, reliable solutions for utility customers worldwide.
Duties and Responsibilities
- Design and validate precision analog and power circuitry for highvoltage (up to 240 V) electricity metering applications, emphasizing accuracy, safety, and longterm reliability.
- Develop ACtoDC power supplies, including magnetics, isolation, protection, and efficiency optimization.
- Perform handson prototype builds, debug, and characterization using lab and environmental test equipment.
- Minimize RF emissions while optimizing cost.
- Drive rootcause analysis, support regulatory compliance, and contribute to manufacturing test and calibration strategies.
- Collaborate with firmware, systems, mechanical, compliance, and manufacturing teams throughout the product lifecycle.
- Participate in design reviews and mentor junior engineers, promoting strong engineering practices and an inclusive team culture.
Required Skills & Experience
- 3+ years of experience in analog and power electronics design
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or closely related field
- Strong understanding of analog component performance, noise, thermal effects and long-term product stability
- Proficiency with schematic capture and PCB layout best practices
- Experience with typical electronics lab equipment
- Demonstrated ability to work accountably and independently while contributing to collaborative, crossfunctional teams in a dynamic, agile environment.
- Strong communication skills, with the ability to clearly document designs, share results, and engage authentically with teammates and stakeholders across disciplines.
Preferred Skills & Experience
- AC-to-DC power supplies and related high-reliability circuits
- Awareness of costeffective surge protection techniques and other protection strategies
- Background working in a technology company with a customercentric mindset and familiarity with the challenges faced by customers.
- Demonstrated commitment to inclusive teamwork, knowledgesharing, and mentoring within diverse engineering teams.
