Overview Seeking a Space Systems/Aerospace Engineer with recent experience with emerging space systems and innovative capabilities. Experience with both DoW and Commercial space sectors vital. Experience in one or more of the following categories desired: Space Control, Counter Space, missile warning/missile tracking, GD4A, IC space systems, processing and algorithms. Experitise with digital engineering tools highly desired. Candidate will provide engagement from DoW-level stakeholder to prtograms and services building the next generation of space systems. Responsibilities Wanted: A Senior Space Engineeer/Analyst with demonstrated experience supporting DoD and/or IC space systems acquisitions with exposure to test and evaluation (T&E), prototypes, and emerging technologies. As a Space Engineeer/Analyst, you will: * Work as part of a small team within Office of the Undersecretary of War (Research and Engineering) (OUSW(R&E)) focused on understanding DoW space architectures, emerging capabilities, and technologies in order to provide effective engagement with space acquisition programs, protoyping efforts, and concepts. * Work collaboratively with a team of driven, supportive and highly skilled professionals. Integrate your analysis from your specific p[rgrams into the overall team view of DoW space systems. A week in the life of a Space Subject Matter Expert: * Reach out and build key contacts at programs/prototypes assigned to you, key stakeholders, test activities, and other DoW organizations. * Review and assess Test and Evaluation Master Plans (TEMPs), developmental test plans, System Engineering Plans (SEPs), Lifecycle Sustainment Plan (LCSPs), Acquisition Decision Memoranda (ADMs), Acquisition Baselines and Strategies, and other milestone decision documents. * Review and assess technology maturation within programs, risks, compliance areas, cycber resiliancy. * Effectrively represent Director, Space and R&E's position on key issues. Qualifications
Bachelor's degree and 10-15 years in desired work areas; MS desired.
