In this role, you will be at the forefront of developing high-performance embedded GPS receivers, directly influencing flight safety and shaping the future of aviation navigation technology.

Trimble Military Advanced Systems (TMAS) is a group within Trimble that specializes in advanced positioning, navigation, and timing technologies primarily serving federal defense agencies. TMAS provides sophisticated Global Positioning System (GPS) receivers, modules, and related technical solutions, with a primary focus on military and national security applications.

Key Exciting Responsibilities:

  • Design and implement cutting-edge automated test procedures and scenarios for next-generation GPS receivers.

  • Lead the development and integration of advanced test stations within our specialized GPS laboratories.

  • Analyze complex system behavior under diverse operating scenarios to maximize product performance.

  • Spearhead the documentation and configuration management of essential qualification test reports and procedures.

  • Support the entire product lifecycle from initial conceptualization through to manufacturing and end-of-life.

Essential Skills & Experience:

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related technical field.

  • Hands-on lab experience with signal generators, simulators, oscilloscopes, and spectrum analyzers.

  • Proven proficiency in programming and automation using scripting languages such as Python.

  • Strong background in data manipulation and organization using Excel and custom programming tools.

  • Ability to obtain a DoD security clearance (please indicate citizenship and any prior clearance activity).

Bonus Points For:

  • Previous experience with inertial navigation subsystems or aviation-specific hardware.

  • Familiarity with rigorous formal data management and configuration management protocols.

This compensation range is based on a full time schedule.
