As an armed patrol officer at a fast-paced healthcare location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, conduct routine rounds, and remain highly visible to help reduce security-related incidents. You will respond to alarms and incidents, support staff and visitors with clear communication, and document activity using a computer or tablet. What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to patients, visitors, and/or staff while carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities within a healthcare location.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including de-escalation support and timely notification to on-site leadership and/or emergency services as needed.
• Conduct regular and random armed patrols throughout buildings, parking areas, and perimeter routes to help to deter unauthorized activity and/or policy violations.
• Control access at designated entry points, verifying identification and/or authorizations, screening for prohibited items per site policy, and directing visitors to appropriate check-in locations.
• Document and report security-related activities, incidents, hazards, and/or unusual conditions using required logs and reporting systems, and communicate updates during shift turnovers.

Minimum Requirements:

• Have 3 or more years combined law enforcement, military, and/or security experience or have a college degree.
• Have an Armed Guard Card or license.
• Be at least 21 years of age.
• Have a New Jersey RPO Certificate.
• Be comfortable using a computer or tablet preferred.
• Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
