Security Officer - Residential Patrol

As a Security Officer - Residential Patrol in Rancho Palos Verdes, CA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Residential, and more. As a Security Officer in a residential location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, complete routine rounds, and maintain a visible presence that helps to deter security-related incidents. You will greet residents and guests, assist with access-related questions, document observations, and communicate clearly with your team and site contacts. What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to residents, members, guests, and/or vendors by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of residential common areas, beach access points, parking areas, and perimeter boundaries to help to deter unwanted activity and/or policy violations.
• Monitor access points and verify visitor authorization in accordance with property rules, directing foot and vehicle traffic as needed to support orderly entry and exit.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, disturbances, and/or resident concerns in a calm, problem-solving manner, requesting additional support when appropriate.
• Complete detailed shift documentation including patrol activity, incident reports, and communications with property management and/or local responders as required by post orders.

Minimum Requirements:

• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
