Security Officer - Port Patrol (TWIC)

As a Security Officer - Port Patrol (TWIC) in Benicia, CA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Chemical/Petrochemical, and more. As an unarmed patrol officer at a chemical and petrochemical location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, conduct routine rounds, and maintain a visible presence that helps to reduce security-related incidents. You will document observations, communicate clearly with site staff and responders, and deliver customer service with professionalism. What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to site personnel and visitors by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at an industrial location.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including reporting conditions, completing required documentation, and notifying appropriate contacts.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of buildings, processing areas, and perimeter fencing to help to deter unauthorized activity and identify security-related concerns.
• Control access at designated entry points by verifying authorization, directing visitors and contractors, and maintaining access logs in accordance with post orders.
• Operate and monitor security-related systems such as cameras, alarms, radios, and phones, and communicate status updates to site representatives and Allied Universal leadership as required.

Minimum Requirements:

• A TSA Issued TWIC is required.
• A state, county, or city issued security license is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
