Job Description




As a Security Officer - Foot Patrol in Washington, IN, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Food/Beverage, and more. As an unarmed patrol officer with Allied Universal at a food and beverage processing location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, complete routine rounds, and remain a visible presence to help discourage security-related incidents. You will support access control, observe for unusual activity, and communicate clearly with site personnel and visitors. What You'll Do:

  • Provide customer service to personnel and visitors by following Allied Universal security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and/or emergency response activities at a food and beverage production location.
  • Respond to alarms, calls for service, and incidents in a calm, problem-solving manner, then notify site contacts and/or public responders as required.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols of production areas, warehouses, loading docks, parking areas, and perimeter fencing to help to deter unauthorized activity and/or suspicious conditions.
  • Monitor access points and vehicle traffic, verify credentials and/or deliveries per site policy, and maintain visitor, contractor, and truck logs as required.
  • Document patrols, observations, and incidents in written reports and/or electronic systems, and communicate shift activity to oncoming personnel and site management.

Minimum Requirements:

  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
