You will monitor and patrol assigned areas, conduct routine patrols, stay highly visible to help reduce security-related incidents, and respond to situations with clear communication and customer service. Bring your armed guard card/license and California weapons permit with 9mm caliber endorsement to a team that is agile, reliable, and innovative, puts people first, and delivers through teamwork with integrity.

What You'll Do:

  • Provide customer service to visitors, employees, and/or contractors at a government location by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
  • Conduct armed foot and/or vehicle patrols of buildings, parking areas, and perimeter points, noting and reporting conditions that may help to deter unwanted activity.
  • Monitor access control points, verify identification and/or authorization as required, and assist with orderly entry and exit in accordance with post orders.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including contacting emergency services and/or coordinating with site personnel as needed.
  • Complete detailed reports on incidents, patrol observations, and security-related activities, and communicate significant information to supervision and/or site representatives.

Minimum Requirements:

  • Possess an armed guard card/license.
  • Be 21+ years of age.
  • Possess a California weapons permit with 9mm caliber endorsement.
  • Handcuffing certification is preferred.
  • CPR certification is preferred.
  • Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
