Security Officer - Hotel Patrol

As a Security Officer - Hotel Patrol in Dix Hills, NY, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Education, and more. As an unarmed Patrol Officer at an education location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, complete routine rounds, and stay highly visible to help reduce security-related incidents. You will document observations, communicate clearly with staff and visitors, and respond to concerns with professionalism and customer service. What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to staff, students, and visitors by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities within an education location.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, escalating concerns to site leadership and/or public responders as needed.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of hallways, classrooms as assigned, common areas, parking areas, and the perimeter to help to deter unwanted activity and/or policy violations.
• Monitor access points and visitor entry processes, including checking identification where required, directing guests to proper destinations, and assisting with sign-in and/or badge procedures per site policy.
• Document observations, incidents, and patrol activity in written and/or electronic reports, and communicate noteworthy conditions to Allied Universal supervision and/or site contacts.

Minimum Requirements:

• Have 1+ years of security-related experience.
• Be 21+ years of age.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
