As a Security Officer - Parking Garage Patrol in Bessemer, AL, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Tech/Media/Telecom, and more. Join Allied Universal as an unarmed patrol officer supporting a fast-paced tech and communications location. You will conduct routine foot patrols, maintain a visible presence to help to deter incidents, manage access control and badge checks, and respond to calls for assistance with clear, professional communication. What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to onsite personnel and visitors by following Allied Universal post orders, security-related procedures, and site-specific policies within a technology location.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, coordinating with site contacts and/or emergency services as needed.
• Conduct regular and random foot patrols of interior areas, parking areas, and perimeter routes to help to deter unauthorized activity and identify hazards or maintenance concerns.
• Monitor access points and security-related systems such as CCTV, visitor logs, and badge compliance, reporting irregular activity per site protocol.
• Complete detailed incident reports, shift logs, and patrol documentation, communicating noteworthy events to supervisors and client representatives.

Minimum Requirements:

• Experience with access control and badge systems is preferred.
• A state, county, and/or city issued security license is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Loss prevention experience is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.

• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
