Job Description




As a Security Officer - Office Park Patrol in Greenville, SC, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Manufacturing & Industrial, and more. As an unarmed Patrol Officer at a busy manufacturing and industrial location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, complete routine rounds, and maintain a visible presence that helps to discourage security-related incidents. You will support access control and alarms as needed, document activity using a computer and/or tablet, and deliver professional customer service through clear communication. What You'll Do:

  • Provide customer service to personnel and visitors by following Allied Universal procedures, post orders, and site-specific policies, and by assisting with emergency response activities when appropriate.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols of production areas, warehouses, parking lots, and the exterior perimeter to help identify unusual activity, hazardous conditions, and security-related concerns.
  • Control access points by monitoring doors, gates, and designated entry areas, verifying authorization as directed, and directing visitors, vendors, and drivers to the appropriate check-in process.
  • Respond to alarms, incidents, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, and communicate updates to site leadership and/or emergency responders as required by post orders.
  • Complete detailed activity reports, incident reports, and logbook entries, and assist with basic security-related checks such as monitoring cameras and verifying that restricted areas remain closed as directed.

Minimum Requirements:

  • Customer service experience is preferred.
  • Alarm panel experience is preferred.
  • Access control or badge experience is preferred.
  • Being comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
