Job Description




As a Security Officer - Flex - Hospital Patrol in Bellflower, CA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Healthcare, and more. As an unarmed patrol officer in a healthcare location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, maintain a visible presence, and help to deter security-related incidents. You will conduct routine rounds, support access control practices, and communicate clearly with staff, patients, and visitors while delivering strong customer service. What You'll Do:

  • Provide customer service by carrying out security-related procedures, location-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities within a healthcare location.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including assisting with de-escalation and coordinating with site leadership and/or emergency services as needed.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols of interior areas, exterior grounds, and perimeter points to help to deter unwanted activity and identify hazards or maintenance concerns.
  • Monitor access points and visitor activity during patrols, provide directions to staff, patients, and visitors, and report suspicious behavior and/or policy violations per post orders.
  • Complete security-related reports such as incident reports, shift logs, and patrol documentation, and communicate relevant information to Allied Universal supervision and site contacts.

Minimum Requirements:

  • Hospital vaccines are required.
  • Hospital experience restraining individuals is required.
  • Access control and/or badge experience is preferred.
  • CPR and/or First Aid is preferred and may be completed post hire.
  • Customer service experience is preferred.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
