Security Officer - Armed Healthcare Rover

As a Security Officer - Armed Healthcare Rover in Fort Lauderdale, FL, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Government, and more. As an armed Patrol Officer with Allied Universal at a government location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, maintain a visible presence to help deter security-related incidents, and respond to situations with calm, clear communication. You will complete routine rounds, document activity, and support staff and visitors with a customer-service mindset. What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to visitors, patients, staff, and/or contractors by following site-specific security-related procedures, post orders, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at a government location.
• Carry and maintain issued equipment in accordance with licensing and training requirements, using sound judgment and clear communication while performing armed post duties.
• Respond to incidents, disturbances, alarms, and/or requests for assistance in a calm, problem-solving manner, coordinating with site representatives and public law enforcement when needed.
• Conduct regular and random armed patrols of buildings, parking areas, and perimeter points to help to deter unauthorized activity and/or hazardous conditions; working environments and conditions may vary by post.
• Complete detailed reports and logs, including patrol activity, incident documentation, and shift turnover information, and communicate relevant updates to the Allied Universal supervisor and/or site contacts.

Minimum Requirements:

• An armed guard card and/or license is required.
• A minimum of 2 years of service in a healthcare and/or medical-related field is required.
• A minimum of 5 years of security-related experience is required.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
