OVERVIEW OF THE COMPANYFox Corporation Under the FOX banner, we produce and distribute content through some of the world's leading and most valued brands, including: FOX News Media, FOX Sports, FOX Entertainment, FOX Television Stations and Tubi Media Group. We empower a diverse range of creators to imagine and develop culturally significant content, while building an organization that thrives on creative ideas, operational expertise and strategic thinking. JOB DESCRIPTION

FOX is seeking a Product Manager II to support news-focused initiatives within the Emerging Technologies organization. This role will partner closely with FOX News Media teams to help extend and evolve digital products that support newsroom workflows, content discovery, and audience engagement.

As a Product Manager II, you will help guide product development across the full lifecycle-supporting discovery, defining requirements, and driving execution in collaboration with engineering, design, data, and editorial partners. You'll contribute to highly visible initiatives that operate in complex, fast-moving environments, while building experience working with emerging platforms and data-driven capabilities in production.

This role is well-suited for a product manager who enjoys hands-on execution, thrives in cross-functional settings, and is motivated by building practical solutions that support real-world news operations.

A SNAPSHOT OF YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Support the planning and execution of product initiatives aligned with newsroom and content-focused workflows.

  • Translate user needs and business priorities into clear product requirements, user stories, and acceptance criteria.

  • Partner closely with engineering, design, data, and editorial stakeholders to deliver high-quality features.

  • Contribute to backlog management and prioritization by assessing impact, effort, and dependencies.

  • Help manage delivery across multiple workstreams by tracking progress, identifying risks, and supporting alignment.

  • Use data, user feedback, and performance metrics to inform product decisions and iteration.

  • Participate in user research, pilots, and feedback sessions to ensure solutions deliver clear value.

  • Communicate product goals, trade-offs, and outcomes through written documentation and stakeholder updates.

  • Stay informed on emerging technology trends and share insights that support FOX's broader innovation roadmap.

WHAT YOU WILL NEED

  • 3-5 years of product management experience supporting digital products or platforms.

  • Experience contributing to products that leverage data, automation, or evolving platform capabilities.

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to structure ambiguous problems and make informed recommendations.

  • Ability to balance technical considerations with user experience and business needs.

  • Excellent communication skills, with comfort working across technical and non-technical audiences.

  • Experience collaborating cross-functionally in agile or iterative delivery environments.

  • Proficiency with product and collaboration tools such as Jira, Confluence, Notion, and Google Workspace.

  • A proactive, organized, and adaptable approach in fast-paced, evolving environments.

NICE TO HAVE, BUT NOT A DEALBREAKER

  • Experience working on news, media, or content-driven products.

  • Exposure to experimentation, pilots, or early-stage feature development.

  • Familiarity with internal tools, platforms, or workflow-oriented products.

WHY JOIN US?

At FOX, you'll work on initiatives that bring emerging technologies into real newsroom environments, supporting teams that operate at the center of breaking news and live events. You'll collaborate with experienced partners across product, engineering, and editorial, contribute to highly visible work, and build skills that are in demand across the industry.

This role offers the opportunity to grow as a product manager while helping shape the next generation of digital news products at FOX.

KEY OBSERVATIONS & RECOMMENDATIONS

  • Scope & Seniority Clarity:
The responsibilities suggest a high level of autonomy and ownership that may exceed a typical "PM II" scope. Clarifying the role's decision-making authority and its relationship to senior product leadership will help ensure appropriate candidate expectations.

  • Success Metrics & Outcome Definition:
The JD currently lacks indicators of how success will be measured. Incorporating language around KPIs or impact metrics (e.g., engagement, efficiency gains) will better define the role's business value.

  • Product Context:
"Newsroom workflows" is used broadly without illustrating what types of products are involved. Adding brief examples (e.g., editorial planning, content automation) will give candidates a clearer sense of the work.

  • Career Development Framing:
The description lightly mentions growth but does not position the role as a stepping stone within FOX. Strengthening the career narrative will help attract mid-level candidates looking to advance.

  • Stakeholder Range:
The emphasis is on internal teams (engineering, design, editorial) with little mention of end-user or audience-facing considerations. If applicable, referencing user insights or audience engagement would round out the stakeholder picture.
