The Role:

The Marketing Manager - Product & Sales Enablement plays a key role in shaping and communicating Morningstar Retirement's product and research strengths to the retirement industry. This individual transforms complex product insights into clear, differentiated messaging that drives awareness, engagement, and adoption across B2B retirement audiences. They partner closely with Product, Sales & Service, GTM, and clientfacing teams to ensure our value proposition resonates both in the market and in conversations with prospects, clients, and partners.

This position is based in our Chicago office and reports to Morningstar Retirement's B2B Senior Marketing Manager & Team Lead.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Support the development of clear product positioning, benefits, differentiators, and objection handling for key Morningstar Retirement offerings-collaborating with the content strategist to translate technical concepts into audienceappropriate narratives

  • Collaborate cross-functionally to identify B2B retirement target audiences, understand their needs and help create segmentdriven marketing campaigns and supporting resources that drive awareness, engagement, and adoption

  • Work closely with product, client-facing teams and subject-matter experts to ensure marketing outputs reflect product vision, roadmap updates, client needs, and real-time sales feedback

  • Engage with Sales, Product, and clientfacing teams-and participate in select client or partner conversations-to gather insights that inform positioning, messaging, and gotomarket strategies.

  • Partner with go-to-market team to craft and execute marketing strategies-driving positioning, content creation, and enablement efforts that support client retention and acquisition

  • Ensure all communications align with product vision and deliver accurate, audiencespecific messaging across channels.

  • Track and report on the performance of product marketing initiatives, highlighting learnings and areas for optimization

  • Manage timelines, deliverables, and crossteam coordination to ensure consistency, accuracy, and quality across all product marketing assets.

Qualifications:

  • 4+ years of product marketing, brand marketing, or related experience-preferably in B2B and financial services

  • Strategic thinker with strong analytical skills and the ability to translate business challenges into actionable marketing solutions

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to simplify complex concepts for diverse stakeholders

  • Proven ability to collaborate and lead/colead projects across sales, product, operations, and business teams

  • Strong project management and organizational skills, with the ability to manage multiple initiatives while working across several teams and stakeholders

  • Experience using AI tools (such as Microsoft Copilot or other generative AI solutions) to improve productivity, generate insights, and create scalable marketing deliverables while maintaining accuracy and brand alignment

  • Experience with marketing and analytics tools (e.g., Eloqua, Google Analytics, Tableau, Salesforce) to support campaign execution and insights

  • BS/BA degree in Business, Marketing, Communications or related field and/or comparable industry-related experience

Total Cash Compensation Range

$74,325.00 - 126,350.00 USD Annual

Inclusive of annual base salary and target incentive
