Department Summary The Anderson School is a complex business unit with an annual $180 million operating budget that includes funding from self-supporting degree programs, contracts and grants, endowments and gifts income, sales and service, business contracts, and other sources. Position Summary Under the general direction of the Director Of Finance, the Financial Services Manager has responsibility for the operations of the Anderson School's Business Office. Manage a team of Fund Managers and work in concert with the Financial Reporting team to execute financial activity and contribute to the financial reports of the Anderson School of Management. The Financial Services Manager will perform the full complement of Fund Management functions, ensure the sound and timely execution of fund management activities, ensure excellent customer service, and implement best practices while seeking and implementing the best techniques. Fund Management duties include and are not limited to timely and appropriate fund usage, manage a variety of income and revenue streams, appropriate expense recognition, and transfers of activity. Incumbent will evaluate and streamline processes to optimize efficiency, create procedures and best practices, and manage the office's needs. The Financial Services Manager will also act as the resolution point for issues. Additional responsibilities include having a lead role in the annual fiscal closing of the school, manage gift fund activity of the school, assist in complex strategic planning and financial reporting, and other ad hoc reporting. Active participant during audits. Incumbent will develop and improve training materials and conduct ongoing training for new and continuing users of UCLA's financial systems. Act as Department Security Administrator, will assist the CFO in conducting annual reviews of systems access and controls, and participate in audits. Manage student workers and their duties. Other duties as assigned. Salary & Compensation *UCLA provides a full pay range. Actual salary offers consider factors, including budget, prior experience, skills, knowledge, abilities, education, licensure and certifications, and other business considerations.
