Position Summary

Perform inspection of material from start of manufacturing to shipment using dimensional inspection equipment. Load and unload motors onto the pain line. Load and label boxes for shipment.

Responsibilities

  • Audit the quality of material moving within the plant and log it into a database.

  • Investigate reasons for non-conforming material and keep records.

  • Inspect the quality of incoming material from outside suppliers and keep records.

  • Audit the quality of finished material prior to shipping.

  • Perform SPC data collection and entry.

  • Complete productivity charts and efficiency reports.

  • Calibrate gauging, keep records, and maintain databases of information.

  • Troubleshoot gauging equipment problems.

  • Inspect oncoming tooling from outside suppliers.

  • Participate in gauge studies.

  • Perform various other duties as required.

Qualifications

  • High School Diploma or equivalency required.

  • Good written and verbal communication skills.

  • Must be a motivated self-starting team player who can work to meet tight timelines.

  • Working knowledge of shop math, blueprint reading and tolerances, and manufacturing processes.

  • Ability to learn and use data acquisition equipment.
