*Employment Type:* Full-Time *Experience Level:* Intermediate *Company Size:* 500 employees, 37 states *Systems:* Rippling (HRIS/Payroll), Sparrow (Leave Management) *About the Role* We are seeking an organized, detail-oriented HRIS & Payroll Coordinator to support the administration of our HRIS platform and assist with key People Operations functions. This role plays a critical part in maintaining accurate employee data, supporting payroll processing, and ensuring compliance across multiple states. The ideal candidate has hands-on payroll experience, thrives in a fast-paced environment, and enjoys being a go-to resource for employees. *Key Responsibilities* *HRIS & Employee Support* * Maintain accurate and complete employee records within our HRIS, *Rippling*. * Manage the People Ops inbox and respond to tier-one inquiries, including onboarding, VOEs, benefits, and leave-related questions. * Escalate complex issues to the appropriate team members as needed. * Assist with HRIS reporting and internal metrics. *Payroll, Benefits & Compliance* * Serve as the *backup payroll coordinator*, supporting timely and accurate processing of semi-monthly payroll for salaried non-exempt employees, hourly staff, and contractors. * Assist with state and federal filing requirements across *37 states*. * Help create and maintain job descriptions, ensuring proper classification and compensation compliance. * Support People and Compliance teams by gathering data for annual reporting, audits, and RFPs. * Manage benefit compliance tasks, including maintaining plan documents and distributing SPDs, SBCs, and other required notices. * Maintain our leave management platform, *Sparrow*, including adding new employees and managing all leave requests in accordance with company policy and applicable regulations (FMLA, parental leave, bereavement, jury duty, PTO, and other LOAs). *Additional Administrative Support* * Assist with onboarding tasks, timecard reviews, and general HR administrative duties as needed. * Provide ad hoc support to People Services and Compliance teams. *Required Skills & Qualifications* * *3+ years of experience processing employee payroll* (any industry). * Strong attention to detail and excellent organizational skills. * Proficiency with Google Workspace (Docs, Sheets, Drive). * Experience with HR administrative tasks. * Ability to handle sensitive information with confidentiality and professionalism. *Preferred Experience* * Experience with *Rippling*, *Sparrow*, or similar HRIS/payroll systems (e.g., Workday, Oracle). * Multi-state payroll experience. * Familiarity with leave administration and compliance requirements. *Job Type & Location* This is a Contract to Hire position based out of New Philadelphia, OH. *Pay and Benefits*The pay range for this position is $25.00 - $26.00/hr.
