Job Description
Primary Purpose Guides engineering functions across multiple sections, shaping policies and frameworks that standardize practices and improve performance. Influences strategic decisions and ensures integration of advanced technologies to strengthen organizational capabilities.
Leads the engineering function within the Port Arthur LNG Operations team, guiding all engineering disciplines to ensure safe, reliable, and efficient plant performance. Serves as a key member of the operations leadership group, driving technical excellence, supporting maintenance and operations, and aligning engineering strategy with overall facility objectives

Duties and Responsibilities
- Directs engineering functions across multiple sections or a large complex job function.
- Drives strategic initiatives that enhance organizational capabilities and performance.
- Oversees large-scale projects and ensures integration across business units.
- Develops policies and frameworks to standardize engineering practices company-wide.
- Influences decision-making on capital investments and technology adoption.
- Represents engineering in cross-functional leadership forums and strategic planning sessions.
- Ensures compliance with industry standards and regulatory requirements at all levels.
- Leads organizational change initiatives to improve engineering efficiency and innovation.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
- Leads all engineering strategy and technical oversight, including approving designs, upgrades, and enhancements that improve reliability, safety, and overall plant performance.
- Directs crossfunctional coordination among internal teams, contractors, and external engineers to deliver operational and capital projects on time and within budget.
- Continuously improves plant performance and reliability by driving engineering solutions, equipment upgrades, and datadriven reliability programs that minimize interruptions and optimize asset health.
Qualifications
Required Qualifications
Education
- Typically requires a 4 year degree in a relevant field, or equivalent combination of relevant education and experience. Bachelor's degree in Chemical, Mechanical Engineering
Experience
- Typically requires 10 years of related experience.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
- Engineering Design - A series of steps that engineers follow to find a solution to a problem.
- Data Analysis - Measuring and managing organization data, identifying methodological best practices and conducting statistical analyses.
- Troubleshooting - The systematic process of diagnosing and resolving hardware, software, or network issues to restore normal operation.
- Equipment Maintenance & Repair - Any process used to keep a business's equipment in reliable working order, including routine upkeep as well as corrective repair.
- Engineering Blueprint/Schematics Interpretation - Reading Engineering drawings and understanding the ideas and information that they are intended to communicate.
- Root Cause Analysis - The process of discovering the root causes of problems in order to identify appropriate solutions.
- Regulatory Compliance - Ensuring an organization's adherence to laws, regulations, guidelines and specifications relevant to its business processes.
- Health, Safety & Environment (HSE) Management - The systematic approach to maintain health and safety at occupation and protect the environment.
- Project/Program Management - The process of leading the work of a team to achieve goals and meet success criteria at a specified time.
- Asset Management - A systematic process of developing, operating, maintaining, upgrading, and disposing of assets in the most cost-effective manner (including all costs, risks and performance attributes).
Work Schedule
HYBRID: Work a combination of onsite and remote days each week, typically 3 days per week onsite.

$173,500.00 - $305,500.00 / year
