We promote a diverse and inclusive workplace that supports collaboration and career growth. Furlani Foods is seeking a Sanitation Supervisor to lead and coordinate sanitation personnel. This role ensures timely and effective sanitation processes in compliance with safety standards, food safety policies, and regulatory requirements. The position supports departmental and company objectives while contributing to plant food safety, employee safety, and operational efficiency.

Requirements

Key Responsibilities

  • Ensure compliance with OSHA, FDA, WDACTP, and company regulations, train employees on applicable SOPs.
  • Manage sanitation equipment, supplies, inspections, and coordinate necessary repairs.
  • Oversee sanitation activities for equipment and facility infrastructure; maintain required records (MSS, SSOPs, Pest Control).
  • Schedule and supervise sanitation staff, conduct performance reviews, and administer discipline as needed.
  • Support the Sanitation Manager by tracking and analyzing staffing levels, overtime, chemical usage, Pre-Op findings, and other departmental metrics.

Qualifications

* 3-5 years of sanitation experience in a food manufacturing facility.

* 1-2 years proven supervisory and leadership abilities.

* Knowledge of Safety regulations, FDA regulations, and GFSI Auditing Standards.

* Excellent organizational and time management skills.

* Solid problem solving and decision-making skills, attention to detail, organization, ability to execute multiple tasks and meeting deadlines.

WORKING CONDITIONS:

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly exposed to moving mechanical parts. The employee is frequently exposed to wet and/or humid conditions, heat and extreme cold. The employee is occasionally exposed to high, precarious places; fumes or airborne particles; toxic or caustic chemicals; the noise level in the work environment is usually moderate.

An office space; working computer, telephone, desk, and chair as needed to complete administrative tasks. Enter and work within temperature controlled environments of -10 to 85 degrees. Some assignments may involve exposure to noise, chemicals, biohazards, and various forms of radiation. Some assignments could be extremely dangerous in the event of dizziness, loss of consciousness, or loss of balance. Working conditions are normal for a plant manufacturing food. Safety and Food safety practices are followed and upheld to the full extent. Work will involve lifting of raw materials, finished cases of bread, and ingredients. All employees will be required to wear a slip resistant safety steel toe shoe.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS:

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand; walk; use hands to finger, handle, or feel and reach with hands and arms. The employee is occasionally required to sit; climb or balance; stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl and talk or hear. The employee must regularly lift and /or move up to 10 pounds, frequently lift and/or move up to 25 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 70 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus.
