Overview
The Program Manager for Pilots & Proof of Concepts (POCs) is responsible for the end-to-end management and successful execution of all pilot programs and proof-of-concept initiatives within Cotiviti's Product organization. The Program Manager ensures pilots are delivered on time, demonstrate measureable value, and convert successfully into full production engagements.
Responsibilities
Pilot Program Management
Own the full lifecycle of pilot and POC initiatives from initiation through completion and evaluation.
- Develop and maintain pilot project plans including scope, timelines, milestones, resource requirements, and success criteria.
- Coordinate cross-functional teams including Product, Engineering, Implementation, Data Analytics, and Customer Success.
- Manage multiple concurrent pilots across different product lines and customer accounts.
- Identify and mitigate risks that could impact pilot timelines, scope, or success outcomes.
- Ensure pilots are properly resourced and staffed, coordinating with internal teams.
Stakeholder Communication & Reporting
- Serve as the primary point of contact for all pilot-related communications with internal and external stakeholders.
- Provide regular status updates to Product leadership, and executive sponsors.
- Create and present pilot progress reports, dashboards, and executive summaries.
- Facilitate steering committee meetings and milestone reviews with customer stakeholders.
- Escalate issues and blockers promptly with recommended solutions.
Pilot Success & Conversion
- Define clear success metrics and KPIs for each pilot in partnership with Sales and Product teams.
- Track and measure pilot outcomes against defined success criteria.
- Document lessons learned, best practices, and reusable templates for future pilots.
- Support Sales in transitioning successful pilots to full production contracts.
- Contribute to business case development demonstrating pilot ROI and value realization.
Process Development & Optimization
- Establish and refine standardized pilot execution processes, templates, and governance frameworks.
- Develop pilot intake and prioritization criteria in partnership with Sales and Product leadership.
- Create playbooks for common pilot scenarios across product lines.
- Implement tools and systems (e.g., Monday.com) to track pilot portfolio status and resourc allocation.
- Continuously improve pilot execution efficiency based on retrospectives and feedback.
General
- Complete all responsibilities as outlined in the annual performance review and/or goal setting.
- Complete all special projects and other duties as assigned.

Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Healthcare Administration, Project Management, or related field.
- 4-6 years of program or project management experience, preferably in healthcare technology or health IT.
- Demonstrated experience managing complex, cross-functional initiatives with multiple stakeholders.
- Strong understanding of project management methodologies (Agile, Waterfall, or hybrid approaches).
- Excellent organizational skills with ability to manage multiple concurrent projects.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills for diverse audiences
- Proficiency with project management tools (e.g., Monday.com, Jira, Smartsheet, MS Project).
- Experience creating and presenting executive-level status reports and dashboards.
- Problem-solving mindset with ability to navigate ambiguity and drive decisions.
Preferred Qualifications
- PMP, PgMP, or similar project/program management certification.
- Experience in healthcare technology, health plans, or healthcare analytics industry.
- Familiarity with risk adjustment, quality measurement, or member engagement solutions.
- Experience managing pilot programs or proof-of-concept initiatives specifically.
- Background working with Sales teams on customer-facing initiatives.
- Experience with Monday.com or similar work management platforms.
- Understanding of healthcare data, analytics, and implementation processes.
Success Metrics
- Pilot completion rate: Percentage of pilots delivered on time and within scope.
- Conversion rate: Percentage of pilots that convert to full production contracts.
- Stakeholder satisfaction: Internal and customer feedback on pilot execution quality.
- Process efficiency: Reduction in pilot cycle time and resource utilization optimization.
- Portfolio management: Abiliy to effectively manage concurrent pilot volume.

Base compensation ranges from $75,000 to $105,000 per year. Specific offers are determined by various factors, such as experience, education, skills, certifications, and other business needs.
