GENERAL FUNCTION

This position is responsible for providing fact-based analytics to support strategic initiatives related to logistics that drive freight optimization. The Analyst will provide both analytical and project management support across varied Essilor of America business partners and departments on topics including Logistics, Transportation, IT, and Vendor Relationship Management.

MAJOR DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

• Learns all data flows and systems internal and external - Optifacts, ODS, OBIEE, SCORE, Salesforce.com, MS Excel/Access, Intelligent Audit, UPS Quantum View, Expeditors Expo, and other data capture systems
• Creates data integration tools for freight optimization assessment, action planning, and execution
• Identifies anomalies and unique trends in complex data to support timely and dynamic approaches to delivering enhanced service levels as well as freight reductions within the EOA network
• Performs complex data analysis to provide increased visibility and recommendations to, but not limited to, on time performance, spend optimization, concept testing, new business opportunities, sourcing opportunities, and profitability/market impact
• Work with Industrial Operations, Supply Chain leadership, and other business partners to develop financial and operational reporting and dashboards - KPI's
• Maintain automated process flows and update existing reports in a timely manner
• Prepare routine monthly and weekly reports using MS Excel, Think Cell, Tableau, Tableau Prep, KNIME/Alteryx, and other systems/Tools as needed
• Build high-level and detailed business cases for strategic opportunities.
• Performs all of the above with a high level of confidentiality, experience, professionalism, detail orientation, thoroughness, and accuracy
• Assists Supply Chain leadership with other assigned duties, as needed, and works with minimal supervision.

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

• Bachelor's Degree required (i.e. finance, account, engineering, science, economics, supply chain management)
• Capable of organizing, interpreting, and analyzing large volumes of qualitative and quantitative data and developing key actionable insights
• Partners well with diverse cross-functional teams and senior operations management, and able to command an audience when necessary
• Proven working knowledge of all Microsoft Office applications with advanced skills in Microsoft Excel

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

• Master's degree/MBA a plus
• Previous experience with or willingness to learn other tools such as Tableau, Tableau Prep, KNIME, Alteryx, Spotfire, Salesforce.com, OBIEE
• Successful experience performing an analytical role leveraging BIG Data to solve complex challenges
• Proactive and relentless in seeking answers and able to handle multiple competing priorities
• Meticulous and extremely detail oriented
