Job Summary

The Electro-Mechanical Technician is responsible for a range of tasks related to systems integration equipment and process operations that require technical expertise. This role includes testing, assembling, and evaluating various types of AC and DC components. Candidates must possess knowledge and experience in utilizing electronic and mechanical equipment, such as multimeters, power supplies, oscilloscopes, and calipers, as well as a solid understanding of AC and DC theory.

Essential Functions

  • Assists with inspecting, repairing, installing, and maintaining electrical systems, machinery, and equipment.
  • Ensures all work performed meets required safety codes and is properly inspected.
  • Uses a variety of tools and equipment, such as power construction equipment, measuring devices, power tools, and testing equipment.
  • Supports with testing electrical systems to ensure proper installation and operation.
  • Inspects electrical systems to determine whether repairs are needed.
  • Assists with replacing conduit, wiring and circuit breakers as needed.


Required Qualifications

  • Required education and experience: Attending a Vocational / Technical School or internal training program OR Equivalent Combination of Relevant Education & Experience or Skillset; No prior experience needed


Preferred Qualifications

  • Preferred education and experience: Vocational/Technical Training Degree
  • Discipline/Major: Technical training preferred
  • Additional certifications: Typically requires an Electrician's license granted by state
  • Knowledge, skills & abilities: Electrical Wiring Installation. Install Electrical Services. Reading Blueprints/Diagrams. Safety Inspections. Troubleshooting Electrical Codes.


Physical Requirements

  • Requires regular movement throughout GD-OTS facilities.
  • Must be able to lift up to 45 pounds.
  • May need to stand for long periods of time.
  • Work may require employee to work inside and outside with exposure to changing climate and/or operate machinery.
  • May be requested to work a different shift.
  • Must be willing to work outside normal business hours as required
  • This position is Safety-Sensitive.

Pay Range (USD)

$42,243.00 - $57,153.00


Pay Transparency Statement

The salary range displayed reflects the minimum and maximum for salary for this position. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, internal equity, and relevant education or training. Your recruiter can share more about the range during the hiring process.


Additional Compensation

Hired applicant may be eligible to participate in the Company's Gain Sharing Program.
