Job Summary The Structured Cabling Project Manager is responsible for overseeing the planning, execution, and successful delivery of structured cabling and low-voltage infrastructure projects. This role manages projects from initiation through closeout, ensuring work is completed safely, on schedule, within budget, and in compliance with industry standards and client specifications. The Project Manager provides leadership to field teams, coordinates with other trades and stakeholders, manages resources and materials, and maintains clear communication with clients and internal teams. Job Responsibilities

Develop, maintain, and adjust master project schedules to meet project milestones and deadlines

Coordinate work sequencing with other trades, including electrical, HVAC, and fire suppression

Plan daily crew assignments, labor distribution, and resource allocation

Lead, supervise, and support field installation teams, including technicians, leads, and subcontractors

Conduct daily toolbox talks, safety briefings, and site walks
-
Enforce safety protocols, OSHA regulations, and jobsite safety standards

Inspect ongoing work to ensure compliance with specifications, codes, and industry standards

Review, verify, and approve cable testing, certification results, and documentation

Manage material ordering, deliveries, inventory, and logistics

Address design conflicts, technical issues, and unforeseen site conditions

Participate in coordination meetings with general contractors and other trades
-
Provide regular project updates, reports, and walkthroughs for clients and stakeholders
-
Identify scope changes, prepare change order documentation, and manage cost impacts
-
Track labor hours, material usage, project costs, and overall profitability

Oversee testing, commissioning, punch list resolution, and final project closeout

Maintain accurate project records, as-built drawings, RFIs, and compliance documentation
Job Requirements

Minimum of 5-7+ years of experience in structured cabling, low-voltage, or data/telecom infrastructure
-
Minimum of 3-5+ years in a leadership or supervisory role (Lead Technician, Foreman, or Assistant Project Manager)

Minimum of 2+ years of project management experience overseeing projects from start to finish

Strong knowledge of structured cabling systems, installation methods, and industry standards

Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications, including Teams, Excel, and Outlook

Ability to read and interpret construction drawings, specifications, and project documentation

Strong organizational, problem-solving, and decision-making skills

Effective verbal and written communication skills

Ability to manage multiple priorities in fast-paced project environments
Education
Work Experience
-
Experience managing projects in commercial environments such as data centers, warehouses, healthcare facilities, DAS installations, or new construction projects is preferred
