The College of Arts & Science at the University of Missouri-Columbia

Job Description

This position assists a Business Manager in Arts and Science with various business and finance functions to support the School of Visual Studies; the Department of Classics, Archaeology, and Religion; and the Department of Anthropology. This position with collaborate with department chairs. Primary responsibilities include:

  • Assist faculty with reimbursement requests, major purchases, contracts, and other financial transactions via the A&S accounts payable center.
  • Assist the Portfolio Manager with department Timekeeping
  • Process payroll for department hires and track changes
  • Assist with payroll reconciliation reports
  • Assist the Portfolio Manager with financial reporting - ensure automated financial reports are sent to faculty every month (Faculty Professional Development funds; Faculty Start-up; Internal awards; Endowment/Gift funds as needed)
  • Account reconciliation - Complete checklists for all department funds and monitor for errors
  • Process Correcting Entries including payroll corrections

Shift

Monday - Friday, 8 a.m. - 5 p.m.

Minimum Qualifications

An Associate's degree or an equivalent combination of education and experience and at least 2 years of experience from which comparable knowledge and skills can be acquired is necessary

Anticipated Hiring Range

Salary Range: $17.05 - 23.37 per hour

Grade: GGS 007
