Warehouse Operations Supervisor

Position Description and Purpose:

Key Essential Functions/Duties:

• Supervise daily warehouse activities including shipping, receiving, staging, storage, and logistics.
• Lead, coach, train, and motivate warehouse employees; address performance and conduct issues as needed.
• Create and manage daily warehouse and production support schedules.
• Verify raw materials and packaging are accurate, staged, and ready prior to production runs.
• Support warehouse operations hands-on when required.

• Maintain inventory accuracy through cycle counts, audits, and reconciliation.
• Own resolution of inventory discrepancies, transaction variances, and inventory adjustments.
• Monitor stock rotation and identify slow-moving or obsolete materials.
• Ensure all outbound product is properly scanned and loaded for full shipment visibility.
• Confirm all received materials are properly put away daily.

• Communicate with Production, Scheduling, Receiving, and Plant Management to optimize material flow and labor.
• Communicate batch and material movement details with the Receiving team.
• Participate in daily Operations meetings and provide input to improve workflow and efficiency.

• Enforce safety policies and promote a strong safety culture.
• Report all accidents, incidents, and near-misses in a timely manner.
• Ensure compliance with company procedures, labor regulations, food safety standards, and applicable laws.

• Recommend and implement improvements to warehouse processes, layout, space utilization, and accessibility.
• Analyze operational issues and support problem-solving efforts.

• Perform additional duties as assigned by management.

Education/Experience/Skills/Qualifications:

• Associate's degree or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Minimum of 2 years of warehouse or operations experience.
• Knowledge of raw ingredients, packaging materials, and inventory control.
• Experience with ERP/OM systems; IQMS preferred.
• Required certifications and demonstrated proficiency to operate warehouse equipment, including forklifts and powered industrial vehicles; must meet OSHA and company safety standards.
• Strong leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
• Analytical and problem-solving abilities.
• Ability to plan, organize, and prioritize work.
• Commitment to quality, cost control, and continuous improvement.
• Proactive approach to safety and compliance.
• Proficient in Microsoft Excel.
• Ability to navigate warehouse or ERP systems (IQMS preferred).
• Ability to read, write, and interpret procedures, safety rules, and reports.
• Ability to perform basic math including rates, ratios, percentages, and run-time calculations.
• Bilingual English/Spanish preferred.
