About the Team: The Digital Marketing Technology Agent Engineering team at Salesforce is dedicated to building the next generation of intelligent agents that enhance productivity, automate tasks, and provide personalized experiences for our customers. We specifically focus on Agentforce, leveraging advanced generative AI services, pipelines, and components to deliver robust agent solutions. We work with state-of-the-art AI models, including Large Language Models (LLMs), and develop sophisticated agentic systems to solve complex business problems. As an engineering leader, you will play a pivotal role in shaping our technical vision, driving innovation, and mentoring engineering staff.

This role :
As an Engineering Manager, you will lead a team of application developers through project initiation, execution, and deployment. You will provide direction and coaching as part of enabling them in their career progression. You will foster an atmosphere of respect and trust while crafting a space for your team to balance the demands of work and life. You will also be responsible for effective collaboration across multi-functional teams, and will provide stakeholders the world-class platform features they need to engage with Salesforce customers. In your career, you will have had a consistent record of mentorship, delivery, partnership and leadership. You will work with a group of very savvy, highly motivated software engineers. We are looking for someone with superb leadership skills, a history of working in an agile development methodology and the ability to operate within short release cycles.

Required Skills/Experience

  • 6+ years of people management experience related to software engineering industry

  • Experience delivering features for enterprise-scale technology organizations.

  • Ability to establish credibility with smart engineers quickly.

  • Ability to motivate people, instill accountability and achieve results

  • Strong verbal and written interpersonal skills, impeccable organizational and time management skills

  • Flexible, dedicated, and comfortable working with ambiguous specifications and can prioritize on the fly

  • Experience running Agile processes, and have worked on a product that was actually released for public consumption

  • Experience in driving quality through automation

  • Compelling communicator and story-teller

  • Focus on partnership and collaboration with your peers and partners

  • Someone who can model the Salesforce values for their team (e.g. equality for all, respect, giving back, transparency, fun)

  • Ability to take ownership of project delivery and multi-task on multiple projects/feature development

  • Bachelor degree or equivalent is desired.

Desired Skills/Experience

  • Prior work experience with AI, LLMs, Machine Learning, Natural Language Understanding, Natural Language Generation or agentic frameworks

  • Experience delivering features on the Salesforce platform.

  • Experience with operational ownership and management of an enterprise product or service

  • 10+ years software development experience with a track record of delivering technically demanding projects

The typical base salary range for this position is $189,100 - $260,100 annually. In select cities within the San Francisco and New York City metropolitan area, the base salary range for this role is $207,800 - $285,800 annually. The range represents base salary only, and does not include company bonus, incentive for sales roles, equity or benefits, as applicable.
