We're currently looking for an entry-level Marketing Assistant with graphic design knowledge to join our team in Phoenix, AZ. This position will also serve as our Front Desk greeter and handle office management tasks and duties. This position is a full-time office-based position due to the needs of the position.

The Marketing Assistant will report to the Sr. Proposal and Marketing Manager and collaborate with proposal and marketing managers and senior leadership to create impactful and professional layouts, templates, writeups, and graphics. 60% - 70% of the tasks will support marketing efforts (website, social media, event/internal materials, etc.), including managing and creating engaging content for our social media platforms. The role will also support the business development department (proposals, interviews, one-pages, etc.). 30% - 40% of the responsibilities will involve handling the front desk and other office management duties at our Phoenix location. This role is an entry-level position to our company and is intended to be a launchpad into other roles within MWH.

We're looking for someone who is creative, has an interest in marketing, excels at multitasking, can manage their time effectively, thrives in a collaborative atmosphere, and is willing to engage as a greeter to visitors of our office and ensure a great first impression. Ideally, this candidate will have experience in social media management and content creation. Experience with or interest in video editing is a plus. Essential Functions



  • Prepare graphics, writeups, and other items for proposals and marketing.
  • Build various templates that follow company brand guidelines.
  • Work with the team to clean up, categorize, and maintain the visual asset library.
  • Support participation in conferences and tradeshows, including creating, ordering, and managing items for booths, displays, presentations, promotional giveaways, etc.
  • Help with award submittals.
  • Research and compile information to create content for our newsletter, blog, website, social media, and other outlets.
  • Coordinate work between marketing and graphic design tasks while also functioning as the Front Desk receptionist and ensuring that other office tasks are met.


Basic Qualifications:



  • Strong written, verbal, and visual communication skills.
  • Strong organizational skills and a detail-oriented team-player with the ability to multitask, prioritize projects, and manage deadlines.
  • A 4-year degree in graphic design, video production, marketing, communication, or related field, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Experience using Adobe Creative Cloud, particularly InDesign, Illustrator, Premiere Pro, and Photoshop.
  • Expert in Microsoft Office products (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Teams, OneNote, PowerBI, etc.)
  • Savvy with social media, including LinkedIn, Instagram, Facebook, etc.
  • Must submit a resume and samples of graphic work and/or writing.


Nice-to-Have Qualifications



  • Experience using video editing software such as Adobe Premiere.
  • Experience in creating short-form video content.
  • Experience producing multi-page documents, templates, marketing materials, and graphics using Adobe Creative Cloud products and Microsoft Office.
  • Strong written communication skills are a plus.
  • Basic HTML knowledge is a plus.
  • An interest in the architecture, engineering, and construction (A/E/C) industry.
  • An interest in Water, Wastewater, or Advanced Manufacturing industries.
  • Experience as an Executive Assistant or Office Manager.

Compensation



  • Anticipated salary for this position is $24-$36/hr. based on experience.
