Purpose of the Role
The Transportation Coordinator plays a critical role in supporting Worley's commitment to Delivering Sustainable Change by directing and coordinating transportation and logistics activities for construction operations. The position provides leadership to trade and site services personnel, ensuring that the movement of people, materials, and equipment is planned and executed safely, efficiently, and in alignment with project schedules and sustainability objectives. Working as part of an integrated project delivery team, the role contributes to maintaining the viability of customer assets and supports Worley's ambition to be recognized as a global leader in sustainability solutions.

Key Responsibilities
Direct and guide a large group of forepeople and trade personnel involved in transportation, housekeeping, and site support services across construction work fronts.
Plan, schedule, and coordinate transportation activities to align with workface planning, project priorities, and the broader objectives of energy, chemicals, and resources projects.
Allocate the workforce to maintain an appropriate balance of manpower for scheduled construction and logistics activities, ensuring continuity of operations.
Provide visible leadership in health, safety, and environmental performance, reinforcing Worley systems that protect people, communities, and the environment.
Oversee productivity of crews, monitor costs, and maintain quality control to support efficient delivery of customer projects and sustainable outcomes.
Support structured apprentice and workforce development programs, promoting skills transfer and capability building within the trade.
Apply company labor relations policies and contribute to respectful, inclusive, and collaborative site culture.
Exercise work direction over trade personnel, providing guidance on methods of work and verifying that completed tasks meet required standards.
Communicate effectively with staff, construction management teams, customers, and stakeholders to ensure alignment and resolve interface issues.
Recognize, manage, and resolve conflicts through constructive engagement and solution-focused decision making.
Utilize advanced systems, processes, and digital tools related to transportation and construction logistics, assisting others to troubleshoot and improve performance.
Contribute to the development and enhancement of new processes and tools that support integrated, data-centric solutions across the project lifecycle

Qualifications / Skillset
Extensive experience within construction, transportation, or logistics environments in the energy, chemicals, or resources sectors, with journey level certification where required.
Demonstrated capability to lead large teams and coordinate complex site transportation activities in dynamic project settings.
Strong understanding of workface planning, scheduling, manpower allocation, and productivity management in alignment with sustainable project delivery.
Comprehensive knowledge of health, safety, and environmental requirements with the ability to embed Worley's safety culture into daily operations.
Experience monitoring costs and quality to ensure responsible stewardship of customer assets and project resources.
Ability to operate with self-initiated interaction, working to broad objectives while seeking informed guidance when required.
Well-developed communication and interpersonal skills with the capacity to influence, persuade, and build collaborative relationships.
Sound decision-making ability with awareness of how transportation activities interface with other construction disciplines.
Advanced understanding of systems, processes, and tools relevant to transportation coordination, with aptitude for continuous improvement and innovation.
