WAREHOUSE WORKER SEASONAL LFS

LFS, Inc. was established in 1967 and is a wholly owned subsidiary of Trident Seafoods. Our corporate headquarters is in Bellingham, WA and we have three year-round locations in Washington State: Bellingham, Seattle, and Poulsbo. LFS also has five year-round locations in Alaska: Anchorage, Cordova, Dutch Harbor, Homer (Kachemak Gear Shed), and Sitka; and two seasonal locations in Dillingham and Naknek. While our core business is supplying the commercial fishing industry, we have evolved to include industrial and sports netting sales, hydraulic sales and services, wholesale/industrial sales, recreational marine and outdoor sales, and internet sales.

Summary: Assist with moving freight and stock from containers to warehouse and retail sales floor:

• Loads and unloads containers with freight and/or finished goods.
• Move products around the warehouse, tracking and labeling inventory.
• Physical, face paced environment
• Complete tasks accurately and quickly
• Uses computer and bar codes reader to scan materials
• Maintains safe and clean work environment by keeping shelves, pallet area, and work stations neat
• Forklift certified/or can be trained to be certified

Additional Responsibilities:
Performs other similar or related duties as requested or assigned.

This is a seasonal non-benefited position. Employment period March-Early October

Transportation and housing are not provided.

Required Qualifications (education, years of experience, KSAs)

• 6 months warehouse experience

Preferred education and experience

• Forklift certified.
• 1-2 years warehouse experience

Work environment:

Fast, loud, busy. Retail sales floor, warehouse, production area.

Physical demands:

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to sit, stand, walk, reach with hands and arms, stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl. The employee must regularly lift and/or move up to 25 pounds, frequently lift and/or move up to 40 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.

The employee is required to talk or listen.

Specific vision abilities required by this job include distance vision, peripheral vision, and depth perception.
