Workweek

Up to 29 Hours | Monday through Thursday: 7am - 12:45pm, Friday: 7am - 1:15pm. | 12 months, August through May.


Position Summary

Provide efficient, excellent customer service, collect payment and handle cash transactions for purchases, maintain front serving stations. Assist with catering and food preparation needs.


Essential Job Functions and Responsibilities

  • Collect monies due for food service purchases
  • Prepare, verify and balance cash drawer
  • Provide customer service to all patrons
  • Assist with the facilitation of on-line orders and pick-ups
  • Restock front serving station, including transporting stock from storage rooms/beverage cooler/freezer to front serving station; remove expired product
  • Notify office staff of inventory needs for front serving station
  • Continuous proper cleaning, maintaining, and sanitizing of front serving station
  • Monitor proper beverage temperatures
  • Assemble, prepare and fill all beverages, yogurts, snack items, and smoothies
  • Set-up, deliver and pick-up food and beverage orders for meetings
  • Assemble, when necessary, and maintain equipment in front serving station
  • Update daily menu signage
  • Assist with and/or serve catered events
  • Communicate inventory needs to sales persons
  • Food preparation as needed
  • Specific job responsibilities for this position are included in the Task Description in the work area
  • Work collaboratively with others (e.g. colleagues, stakeholders, vendors) to accomplish functions and responsibilities
  • Assume additional duties as assigned by immediate supervisor

Required Qualifications

  • High School diploma or equivalent
  • Current Illinois Food Service Sanitation Manager Certification, or must obtain within first 12 months of employment
  • Maintain recertification as required
  • Obtain and maintain Allergen and COVID-19 Awareness Certifications
  • Related experience, POS and/or cash register/handling experience
