The Department of Medical Oncology at West Virginia University Cancer Institute is currently accepting applications for a Research Specialist Senior position. About the Opportunity The West Virginia University Cancer Institute invites applications for a Research Specialist Senior in the Department of Medical Oncology. This laboratory-based position will support medicinal chemistry and translational research activities within the Cancer Institute, contributing to foundational studies that advance the understanding and treatment of cancer. The role aligns with the School of Medicine's mission of discovery and improving the health and well-being of the communities we serve. The successful candidate will work closely with investigators, synthetic chemists in the department of pharmaceutical sciences, the Phase I clinical trials unit, translational scientists, and members of established cancer research teams. The Department of Medical Oncology maintains strong clinical, translational, and basic science programs, supported by collaborations with the Clinical and Translational Science Institute, Rockefeller Neuroscience Institute, Vaccine Development Center, and P20 Center of Biomedical Research Excellence in Tumor Microenvironment.
