Team Summary

Visa's GovernmentAffairs(GA) organization aims to create broad alignment between Visa's businessobjectivesand public policies that affect the payments industry. OurNorth America Government Affairs(NA GA) team is headquartered in Washington, D.C. with colleagues inCanada,California,Colorado,and Utah. We engage with a wide range of policy makers and stakeholders to advocate, educate, and provide thought leadership as it relates to Visa's policy interests to expand access and usage of digital payments around the world. Our team works closely with colleagues across the company including Social Impact&Sustainability, Communications, Marketing, Finance, Compliance, Legal, Risk, Account Executives, Global Policy, Product, Business Solutions, and Visa Consulting & Analytics. Together, the team ensures thatNA GAcontinues tomaintainits high standard of support for addressing regulatory and policy challenges and enabling business opportunities intheNorthAmerica.

What an Analyst of Strategy and Operations does at Visa:

Reporting directly toVisa's Head of State and Local Government Affairs, this position willbe based in San Francisco, CAandsupportthe State and Local Government Affairs team'srelationship and community building efforts, external engagement planning,presentations, business and administrative processes and operations,andreporting.

Essential Functions:

  • Support development of strategic plans to advance policyobjectives.
  • Support planning and execution of large- and small-scale events for internal and external audiences.
  • Developpresentationmaterialson the team's priorities and activitiesfor external engagements to ensure they are relevant, consistent, andaccurate.
  • Support collection and review of data for audit, compliance, and other mandatory reporting.

This is a hybrid position.Expectationofdays intheoffice will be confirmed by your Hiring Manager

Qualifications

Basic Qualifications:

  • 2 or more years of work experience with a Bachelor's Degree or an Advanced Degree (e.g. Masters, MBA, JD, MD, or PhD)

Preferred Qualifications:

  • 3 or more years of work experience with a Bachelor's Degree or more than 2 years of work experience with an Advanced Degree (e.g. Masters, MBA, JD, MD)
  • Two or more years of work experience with a bachelor's degree
  • Strong integrity, personal character, and commitment to ethical conduct.
  • Ability to exercise good judgment in setting priorities and interacting with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Strong collaborator, with the ability to work in partnership internally and with cross functional teams to achieve shared objectives.
  • Sound professional judgment, ability to handle sensitive information with the utmost discretion.
  • Outstanding communication skills (written, visual (ppt), verbal, listening) with demonstrated writing experience.
  • Keen attention to detail with track record of consistently delivering meticulous, thoughtful work within tight deadlines.
  • Highly organized with the ability to multi-task and independently manage and prioritize assignments.
  • Curious and flexible team player, willing to take on new tasks as priorities shift.
  • Familiar with the financial services, payments, and/or technology industries.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, and Excel.
Additional Information

Work Hours: Varies upon the needs of the department.

Travel Requirements: This position requires travel5-10% of the time.

Mental/Physical Requirements: This position will be performed in an office setting. The position will require the incumbent to sit and stand at a desk, communicate in person and by telephone, frequently operate standard office equipment, such as telephones and computers.

U.S. APPLICANTS ONLY: The estimated salary range for this position is 123,000.00 to 190,900.00 USD per year, which may include potential sales incentive payments (if applicable). Salary may vary depending on job-related factors which may include knowledge, skills, experience, and location. In addition, this position may be eligible for bonus and equity. Visa has a comprehensive benefits package for which this position may be eligible that includes Medical, Dental, Vision, 401 (k), FSA/HSA, Life Insurance, Paid Time Off, and Wellness Program.
