100% Onsite Monday-Friday in Bethesda, MD We are seeking a Hardware Support / Maintenance Technician to support government operations through hands-on hardware maintenance, minor installations, and system support. This role requires a strong understanding of hardware components, inter-operational dependencies, and preventative maintenance practices. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, technically proficient, and comfortable supporting both CONUS and OCONUS missions. **Required: TS/SCI clearance with the ability to obtain a CI polygraph. Key Responsibilities:
- Perform hardware maintenance and minor installations on equipment identified within the task order
- Understand inter-operational relationships of system components to effectively support maintenance services
- Execute minor system tasks, including software loading, system reboots, and operational checks
- Install and integrate new releases, updates, and changes to COTS hardware and software
- Identify, diagnose, and address hardware failures or potential failure indicators
- Operate automated hardware management and diagnostic tools, including remote monitoring systems
- Interpret diagnostic results to maintain, repair, or upgrade hardware systems
- Plan, execute, and recommend preventative maintenance activities (with government approval)
- Provide recommendations for spare parts, spares programs, and bench stock planning and tracking
- Offer technical assistance to field service personnel as needed
- Support mission requirements requiring CONUS and OCONUS travel
Required Certifications:
- DoD 8570 IAT Level II
- One (1) of the following certifications:
- CompTIA A+ CE
- HDI-CSR (Customer Service Representative)
- HDI-SCD (Support Center Director)
- HDI-SCA (Support Center Analyst)
- ITIL Foundation
- Microsoft Office 365
Education & Experience Requirements:
Candidates must meet one of the following education and experience combinations:
- High School Diploma or GED + 10+ years of relevant experience
- Associate's Degree + 8+ years of relevant experience
- Bachelor's Degree + 6+ years of relevant experience
- Master's Degree + 4+ years of relevant experience
- PhD + 2+ years of relevant experience
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience supporting government or DoD environments
- Familiarity with COTS hardware and enterprise IT systems
- Strong troubleshooting and diagnostic skills
- Ability to work independently in field or remote environments
